Ubu Roi - Prague Quadrennial 2019, PQ Studio Official Selection
This was an interdisciplinary theatrical project created at CalArts consisting of co-designers: Maria Videla Urra, Bri Patillo, Christine Ferriter, Fallon Williams, Astrid Lindgreen Hiermind, Natalia Lassalle, Yihsien Cheng.
The aim of the project was to design a transforming theater set to reimagine the play, Ubu Roi by Alfred Jarry.
Starting with a cube as a framework we constructed a gesture model and utilized stop-motion photography to demonstrate the potential configurations and forms the cube could take on to represent different scenes. This project was presented as an official selection at the Prague Quadrennial in 2019.
